Amy Elizabeth Wheeler & Jaroslaw Lipski, capture the spirit of English lute songs and draw audiences into close range to enjoy music and poetry of the English renaissance. Their concert programs are a blend of repertoire from the 16th and 17th centuries and include songs from Shakespeare’s plays, folk songs, as well as songs by Robert Jones, Robert Johnson, John Dowland, and other popular composers of the era. The duo has performed in most of Poland's notable early music festivals as well as concerts presented by the British Council and  at the 100th Anniversary Season at Poland's National Philharmonic where they received a standing ovation. They have recorded a critically acclaimed CD titled What Thing Is Love, featuring the premier recording of Robert Jones's “As I lay lately in a dream” as well as the often played but rarely sung version of "My Lord Willoughby's welcome home". Up until 2012, several tracks on the recording collectively received well over 200,000 downloads on Early Music America. The duo was showcased in 2009 at the Association of Performing Arts Presenters conference in NYC, hosted by the Gotham Early Music Scene.
